  Join the denizens of hell at the Hawthorne Hotel’s Grand Ballroom for a truly epic night of devilry as we gather Friday, October 16th for the Hellfire Cabaret! Be you angel or devil come dressed in your finest for an evening of dancing, cocktails, drag, burlesque, and sideshow. Our evening begins with an hour of appetizers and complimentary wine, beer, and soft drinks! So get there early! Costumes are highly encouraged! Come dressed as your favorite sinner or saint! Think devil horns, halos, martyr attire, or even your sexiest smoking jacket. Come dressed to impress, and get ready to have the night of your life! Our lineup would temp even the devil himself.   The event, introduced in 1990 and hosted by the Hawthorne, features a live band and two djs, interactive experiences, a costume contest, stationed hors d’oeuvres and cash bars on three floors. Dance, people-watch, take selfies in front of our backdrops and enjoy being part of the premier bucket-list Halloween event. Our theme this year, Phobia, will transform classic phobias into a world of shadow, illusion and psychological suspense. This isn’t just about spiders! Think nystophobia (fear of darkness), thanatophobia (fear of death), or chronophobia (fear of time passing.)
